The first single from Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited Ramayana is finally out. Titled “Jai Jai Ram,” the devotional track marks the beginning of the film’s musical journey and has been released on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The song brings together an impressive musical team, with A.R. Rahman composing, Dr. Kumar Vishwas penning the lyrics, and Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal lending their voices.

Ranbir-Sai Pallavi’s Ram-Sita Bond

“Jai Jai Ram” is designed more as a cinematic prayer than a conventional Bollywood song. The track features glimpses of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, including their wedding and moments from their life during exile. The accompanying visuals focus on the emotional and spiritual bond between Ram and Sita, while Rahman’s composition attempts to retain the intimacy of a prayer while giving it the scale of a big-screen epic.

A Strong Start To The Musical Campaign

The song arrives after the Ramayana trailer generated enormous interest, with the makers claiming more than one billion digital views in six days. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, with Nitesh Tiwari directing the two-part epic. Ramayana: Part One is scheduled to release during Diwali 2026, with Part Two planned for 2027. With Rahman, Arijit and Shreya joining forces, the first single gives the ambitious project a strong musical beginning.
